Mica Tape, which is a flame resistant insulation material, is used in the production of Flame Resistant Cables. Mica is reinforced with an organic silicon adhesive and an alkaline-free glass fiber layer. It is coated with PE film or PET on one or both sides, optionally. Mica Tape processed in Impregnation, Lamination and Drying processes is perfectly suitable for high speed banding. Mica Tape is non-combustible and non-flammable, showing excellent thermal resistance properties from 750ºC to 1100ºC depending on the mica mineral type and process. PHLOGOPITE MICA TAPE, MUSCOVITE MICA TAPE and SYNTHETIC MICA TAPE are available, each of which is Glass Fiber reinforced.
